Hi,

I'd like to add USB 2.0 to my Powerbook 17" 1.0Ghz. I saw that there are USB cards that you can add to the PC card slot. Do those work well? Any recommendations? Any other ways to add USB 2.0?

Thanks!

I think thats a great idea, but I don't know how well they work. I don't think there's any other way to install USB 2.0 in your 'book unless you hack the crap out of it and do some intensive work, but I don't suggest it to novices (me being the biggest novice there is).
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

Hey ekrimen

I use a USB 2.0 card in my Pismo. Works Great. But Isn't as Fast as FireWire. I've times Transfers from Internal Drive to and External Drive, with both fireWire and USB 2.0, and FireWire is always 5-7sec Faster for some reason. To Bad USB 2.0 doesn't Boot with OS X 10.3.8... USB 2.0 External Drives are a lot cheaper...

Great Times!!!

Hey Brad, thanks for your reply. Which USB 2.0 card do you use?
