Hey,
I tried cleaning my ibook screen with one of those monitor wipes, well it left residue all over the screen, so I don't think those are good to use, does anyone have anything I can use to clean it off. I had a few fingerprints on that I was hoping the monitor wipes would take care of, basicically the monitor wipes just screwed it up. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Just use a soft wet clothe. no need to buy any expensive cleaning product. Use a wet clothe and dry it just afterwards. It will remove any finger print and the screen will be as clean as its first day.

I say use water and those little cloths that they sell at sunglass shops (or any lint free paper). I stay away from windex and the likes and only use water, although some people say that stuff is alright, I just stick with warm water and it works fine.

The product "iKlear" is great, and is designed for use with TFT displays.
You want to avoid using any cleaners with ammonia or alcohol (read: anything you would use on windows).
Most computer stores sell an anti-static spray display cleaner for under $5, too.

A soft cotton cloth dampened with water is all you need. The key is to clean the screen on a regular basis and to keep greasy fingers away from it. My 3+ year old G3 iBook screen looks like new. I also use a leather screen protector on both of my iBooks when the lid is closed.

if you use a cleaner with Isopropyl Alcohol and you will be fine. Some monitor wipes do not have this in them. The antistatic wipes work great and Leave no residue on mine. The even clean any dirt from the keys and palm rests great too. They where $5.00 for 70 wipes. If you use a sunglass cleaner with a micro fiber cloth it will work great as well. Has the same ingredient.

I have a ScreensavRz from Radtech. Is has a nice nexture that is perfect for wiping your screen, and also protects the screen when the laptop is closed.
