Ok Ive had this PowerBook g4 since December. In January one day the hard drive made a clicking noise and the computer froze I really thought nothing of it. I reset it and it continued to play up. So i turned it off left it for a while came back later and it worked fine for about a month in Feb it did it like 2 times. Same thing I'd leave it to cool off and it would be fine for a while. Its done it again today, but today was the worst. When I tried to turn it off it couldnt find the startup disk. I left it and its working now. I'm going to send it back. But what is causing this problem?? Its like the disk has to keep re spinning over and over sometimes as well
Thanks
Chris

You have a dying hard drive. One of the common indicators is that you have to let them cool down to get them to work again.

Backup your data ASAP!
