My friend's PB kernel panics on startup now (last one day) when Airport Extreme is used. We did a clean install, but it still didn't work. When we boot into safe boot or take out the card, it works. Yet, at the genius bar, they tried a different card and the same problem occurred. In verbose mode, when it gets to com.apple.iokit.Airport something, the panic occurs. What do you guys think? It's under warranty so he's going to take it in soon (this weekend) to the Apple Store. Do you guys have any ideas?

Trying a different card is only useful if that different card is known-good. If they just picked a random card off the shelf and tried it, it could be a bad card too. There is an unfortunate relatively high incidence of bad AE cards.

The only other possibility is that the socket is bad, which would mean a logic board replacement.
