Hi,

I bought a new 17" keyboard off ebay (don't ask me why). It was cheap so I thought it would be nice to have.

Would it possibly work on my 12" rev. c?

And if it works, would it possibly have the backlight feature?

Thanks!!

i know for sure the backlighting will not work on a 12" because they lack the sensors needed to determine if it is light or dark in the surrounding room

dont know if it'll fit as a normal keyboard though (i dont see why not)

No. Completely different connector. Completely different cable. This won't work. And the backlighting certainly won't work.

The connector won't work but even if it did, you would probably have to write some software in order to toggle the backlight on and off, since the 12" Powerbook does not that the light sensor.

It also doesn't have the controller chip that handles display and keyboard brightness based on those missing light sensors.
