It's a good deal if that's a computer your willing to stick with. I personally would go for a Rev B model stock and do the upgrades when I think the time is right for them. Remeber the Rev A model has no USB 2.0, no DVI out, and is notorious for running super hot. I was selling my 'book awhile back for $1000 sans the RAM and think it's a better computer than the one your looking at right now. Infact, I think the current iBooks that are comparible in price and knock the socks off of the PB your looking at, but that's just me.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)
Thanks so much for the quick reply. I didn't know that about the USB ports and the heat issue is good info. The SuperDrive was sucking me into the deal, but I think you're right about the iBook being a better deal.
