Hi all,

I was wondering how people feel about Kingston RAM. It's brand name, but how does it stack up to other brand names, and how does it stack up to generic brands such as the 1 GB stick that was posted a while back (http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4158153). I'm specifically looking at this: http://www.memory-up.com/merchant2/m...3N-1024KI64X8. What do you all think? Thanks,

ive been running the kingston 1GB PC2700 SoDIMM ram in my brand new powerbook 15inch (1.5g ram, combo drive) for about a month now i geuss and everything is working great. would recomend getting it if your in the market. i havnt tried any other ram brands tho so make sure you canvas as many people as possible. bu i wouldnt hesitate in advising people to get it. i got it from Fry's when i was in the U.S.A.

i use computer heavily for graphics programs. macromedia studio MX, adobe creative suite CS etc and its been great.

the 2nd link is dead btw. well for me it is

What about Kingmax RAM? This is a ridiculously low price for a 1 gig stick...

Does anyone have any experience with Kingmax? Thanks,

I've seen nothing but positive reviews on NewEgg. I ordered a stick the other day for my 12" PowerBook (mmm, 1.25 gigs) so we'll find out soon enough.

I ordered some of that Kingmax a few months ago and it didn't get along very well with my 1.25 GHz 15" Aluminum. I've since switched to generic RAM from 18004memory.com. There have been better deals for Powerbook RAM out there, Outpost usually has the stuff for pretty cheap. The last page of this thread probably still has some relevant information.
