My wife's original iBook power supply (the curcular one) has had it's center pin break and now the iBook cannot be charged. Apple says we have to find one on line somewhere because they don't sell them any longer. Does anyone know where we cxan get one?

You'll have to tell us what model it is. I could be wrong, but I think all iBook models since the "icebook" (G3 500, white) have used the same power supply. I'm still using a second one I bought for my iBook G3 600 on my iBook G4 800.

Do you have a white iBook or an old clamshell?

or (obviously) try eBay. there's a gazillion on the 'bay, both used and nos. i've purchased a/c adapters from both.

a standard ugly black brick laptop power adapter will work & is cheaper (just make sure you get the right voltage).

That's what I had to get whne my yo-yo adapter broke - the cable frayed inside the yoyo & it started sparking
