I have the opportunity to buy a used powerbook with a 15inch screen, there a few problems tho, no battery life (sounds like the motherboard) and a broken hinge. This would be a great buy for me though... how much should I offer? can anyone help

thanx

Agree on the price. The battery is probably as old as the computer (Jan 01) and doesn't hold a charge. You can maybe get 4 years of recharging out of them. Getting a high capacity battery from macsales.com or other vendors should do the trick.
