hi i need help, some of my keys in my 700 mhz iBook do not work, first the ' [ - keys stopped working, now the u 7 are not working... i imagine its a hardware problem, bt i want to know if there is some kind of fix for this, before i take it to apple care and they charge me 100+ dls

have you tried popping them off to clean under them? this is (apparently) very easy. if you don't want to pop them off you might be able to clean out anything down there with a brush down between the keys. i'd definitely do this before sending it away to be fixed.

order a new or used keyboard online. They're user replaceable. Even apple thinks so. I had a defective one on my new iBook and they just sent me a new one in a box and said "pop that sucker in there"
