I just bought my 12" powerbook last week and have yet to buy a wireless mouse or keyboard. The screen size is fine but I have and 18" LCD that I want to hookup. How can I use my external moniotr while still allowing me to type on my laptop? Thanks to anyone that spends time answer my question.

Just use your built-in keyboard. You don't need to use an external keyboard to use an external display (unless you close the PowerBook lid).
