i am planning buy an powerbook 12,after tiger released(preinstall on powerbook), and i found myself falling love with PB 15, but due to price , i thought i can only afford an PB 12.
Quesion1:Is now a good time of buying an PB, do you think the PB G5 will come out soon,eg before july?
Question2:what is diff between ibook 12 and PB 12?
Question3:i know the PB is more "thin" than ibook, but i thought that is because of lid(PB has much more slim lid),i would like to know what is the height diff between ibook and PB, if only compare the "BODY"(do not count the height of lid)?
Question4:After using 3-4hours of ordinary(no pohtoshop and other heavy app)use, do you feel the PB WARM?or HOT?and that heat comes fromm which part of PB?
Question5: i know the screen is the weakness of PB(compare to most PC loptop), how do you find the screen of PB?
Question6:How is the fan of PB, noisy?
Question7:How many of you have got PB with at least 1 deadpixel on screen?

There were once four people named Everybody, Somebody, Nobody and Anybody. Somebody had to do a job, but Nobody wanted to do it. Nobody could see that Anybody could do it, and Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Nobody ended up doing it, and it so happened that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

1. Don't wait for a G5.
4. Not much heat on my 15" 1.67GHz - the fan has yet to come on.
5. Screen is nice, but I also have a 23" Cinema so most of the time I am working on the big screen.
7. The red component of a single pixel in the lower left is dead on mine. Not too much of a concern really.

The iBooks are sturdier and just a tad thicker than the PB. The iBook can connect to an external monitor via video mirroring (what you see on the iBook's LCD is what you'll also see on the external monitor). The PB can connect to a an external monitor and do monitor spanning (twice as much screen real estate).
For a regular joe-blow that will only use the laptop for e-mailing, interneting, and printing out letters, the iBook is perfect.
For those of us who will be spending a little more time, the PB's dual monitor spanning makes the biggest impact with the ability to connect to an external monitor for more screen real estate.
