After using my machine for about 10 months, I noticed I got a dead pixel the left of the apple logo (not too big a deal). I really was pissed at first but got used to it and started to not notice it at all. Then today I glanced over and poof!!! No more dead pixel for iRez. I'm soo giddy right now that words can't explain it. I really wanna upgrade my machine, but this baby has been soo good to me that I can't see myself departing with it. By the way no rubbing got it out, it just happened.

What colour did that dead pixel have? Was is red or was it black?
I've been having black pixels comming and going in my dock.
However I had some red pixels on my previous screen that was replaced. These red pixels didn't come and go but was there all the time.
Read my post on black pixels + some answers on that here:

Perhaps these things are related?

This happened with an iBook I had. Actually, the iBook started out with one stuck pixel, then acquired another one, and then lost both of them. If I pressed on the bezel, I could make the stuck pixels come and go. Eventually, the stuck pixels stayed gone.

My current PowerBook has two stuck red pixels, but I don't see them unless I consciously look for them.

my 15" powerbook showed no signs of any stuck pixels for quite a few months and then one day while the screen saver was on i noticed a turqioseish looking stuck pixel.

tapping the monitor next to the pixel made it go away. it came (and went) for a month or so, and i have not seen it since mid last year now.

weird.
