Hey everyone,

I just got my new 17" PB yesterday, and so far, I am loving this thing.

Just one thing that I am finding odd: sometimes when I am doing the 2-finger scrolling in web pages, I get what seems to be an inadvertent "back" command, and I end up on the previous page. This is a bit of an annoyance. It seems to happen most often when I have my 2 fingers close together, or if I am using a light touch.

Has anyone else noticed this? I don't think this is like the trackpad problem that has been described at length in other locations.

Thanks,
Jeff

By the way, I am using Firefox as my Browser. I don't know if this happens in Safari or Camino. I will give those a try too.

Thanks again,
Jeff

when you use the track pad with two fingers and go side to side it goes back to previous pages or forward. it was an annoyance to me too so I went to system pref and set my track pad so it doesnt go sideways

Ohhhh, very interesting. I have disabled horizontal scrolling - we shall see if that helped. Is this the effect if there is no horizontal scroll bar in the window you are in?

Thanks! I love this forum!

EDIT: Nice call - that is exactly what was happening.

In some browsers, holding option while scrolling will do this.
