So I finally switched from windows to mac, but before I did I burned my entire "my documents" folder onto a DVD. For some reason I cant read this on my mac...if I put it in the mac sees all the folders and folder hierarchy, but there are no actual files anywhere. But if I look at info it seems as though there are (it says there are thousands of files on the dvd)...anything special I need to do?

thanks

Hi tbd,

i remember having this problem but only on a windows machine where i needed to install a udf driver to be able to read a udf formatted cd. Otherwise it appeared to be blank. for OSX it is different. i have here a link about udf and OSX that you may find useful.

http://www.macosx.com/forums/archive...p/t-46609.html

I have not attempted to read udf on macosx so i cannot help you much in that respect. Perhaps you can go to a friends pc if you dont have yours anymore and then simply re-burn a disk that is in a format that is NOT udf. if you cant read your disk on your friends pc then you can easily find a udf driver for windows that will be able to read your disk.

cheers.

Email that stuff to you and then download it to the Powerbook.
