I would like to know if both the new PB's and last model's PB have the same processor. I'm sorry, i'm not familiar with the rev. model yet... just the current and previous models. I would guess that they're the same, but I really dunno. The reason why I ask this is that if they're the same, then it *should* be safe to overclock my 1.5ghz to 1.67ghz right? Just looking for a place to start. I dunno much about this. Thanks in advance.

i would think that overclocking will void your warranty! why would you want to do this just to gain 170MHz ?? it is hardly noticeable performance improvement.

i believe that the processors are the same technology but with a different clock.

its not too much extra to buy a 1.67 and you can update to 128Mb vram in the 1.67 version and not in the 1.5 version.

voiding warranty is not worth it. if something goes wrong with your machine you have to pay hundreds of dollars to fix something that would have been repaired under warranty.

cheers,
rob
