Hello everybody and I hope somebody can help me.

Here is what happened:
I have a Power book G3 400 fire wire. I’ve upgraded the hard drive from 6 Gig to 60 Gig. In other words, I pulled the old one out and I replaced it with the new one. So far so good, but when I restarted it, the cooling fan ran for 2-3 Sec and when the HD started up it just shoot off by itself. I've turn it on and off a few times bui I got the same thing. I’ve switched the HD back the way it was before, thinking that it might be because the new HD but I’ve encountered the same symptom.
I’ve fallowed the PDF instruction “How To” step by step, except one thing and I don’t know if that should affect the startup somehow. I removed the battery and DVD drive after I pulled the keyboard out ???????????
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thank You, NF
