hi, i am trying to replace my pb17's keyboard by a new one, but I now I am stuck at where I remove the fibers for the backlit keyboard.

I removed all the 14 tiny screws in the back of the top case, but the keyboard doesn't seem to get loose, do I need to use more force? is there an extra invisible screw/connector?

okay so i am stuck with this kb, maybe I can fix the old kb by chemically removing the residue of the champagne that wrecked it.

How do i remove champagne? Ppl advised me ether, others advised me hydrogenperoxide

thanks guys, this manual is helpful because right now I only use a PDF of the Mac Technician cd.
Only it still doesn't say anything about the glassfiberwires for the backlit
What do I do with them, they look very very fragile

If I recall correctly and according to the referenced guide at pbfixit, you're not supposed to do anything with them.
