just got my powerbook today ...there're a few questions about the sleep mode...

if i have stuff downloading...if i put on sleepmode...will the download continue or stop?

second of all...if i close the lid of my powerbook...will it go to sleep? if so...how can u set it so it continues running without sleep...cuz i've a few downloads which i want to continue download during the night but obviously i want the screen closed so i can sleep

Sleeping will stop any download.

If you want to d/l at night, turn the monitor off or set it to sleep (under Preferences > Energy Saver).

You can try this utility in order to prevent your PB from sleeping while the lid is closed, although it is probably a better idea to do as Randman suggests and just allow your display to sleep rather than closing the unit.

how about if i close the lid?...will it auto goes to sleep?

and if so...is there away so i can close the lid without it going to sleep?

turning the brigthness all the way down helps.
