i really need a powerbook, plan on getting the 17" 1.67ghz g4, but if updates are coming I can hold off... please does anyone have any speculations on this?

I would guess they'll be updated a while from now, they were updated not too long ago.

I would be surprised if it they're updated before october or november. If this is the last G4, then it may be stretched to macworld next january, shipping weeks later.

I'm in the same boat. I am willing to wait until the June 6-10 WWDC and see if they release new updates then. If it's not in June then I will buy , since October would be the next probable release. June 6 is just over a month away - might be worth the wait ? Always sucks when you order a 3000 dollar machine and find out they release updates a month after. It's a tough call.
