Two quick questions:
1) Will the memory from my (now dead) Dell Inspiron 8200 (PC2100) work in the Powerbook? I see that the Powerbook likes PC2700 ...
2) Where is the cheapest place to get a good 1GB chip. I see crucial wants like $360+ for it. Ouch.

1) No. PC2100 is too slow for your machine. You need at least PC2700 SO-DIMM.
2) Don't know, but I always check out http://www.dealram.com.

Wow .... the 1GB chip is over $200 cheaper ($150) on DealRam ....
Certainly there must be SOME other difference, no?
I'm so ordering if it is indeed equivalent.
