there is a mild greenhouse effect when heat transfers off your fingertips and gets trapped under the iskin.

boo. i prefer the feel of the keyboard without the iskin, but the added protection will keep it on. also, by any chance do you use a radtech screensavr with your iskin? i feel that if i keep the iskin on and place the screensavr over it, there might be too much stress on the latch.

i think we all prefer the feeling without protection. the iskin does take some getting used to and i take it off during heavy typing or when i hit the road. i do not have the screensavr but would guess wedging it and the iskin together would not be a good idea.

alright, thanks for the help. guess it would be a hassle to take the iskin on and off. guess i'll just use it when im at home where i might have something to drink close at hand.

I enjoy the rubbery feel of the keyboard. I also enjoy my keyboard not being all grimy and dirty after a year.

so you've had the iskin for a year? sounds good. i guess it will take some time getting used to the iskin, but now i have to remove it before i place the screensavr on so that i dont put too much pressure on the latch. i know the iskin is suppose to protect again spills, but on a 15/17" model, if you did spill some liquid onto the iskin, wouldnt it just leak over into the speakers? well other than that, im enjoying the iskin. the rubbery feeling does feel ok, but you have to press down the keys a little harder.

thanks for the replies!

I can't believe people can actually use the iSkin on their laptop--I hate the feel of those things so much, but I guess people are different.

I use it and a radtech cloth when closed. I have a dog and I prefer the rubbery feel over the chance of small fur and other detritus getting in the keyboard.

I do wash it pretty regularly, once a week or so. It helps the feel of it.
