i have a rev. b 12" powerbook with 1.25 gigs of ram and i have a friend with a rev c 12" powerbook with 768 megs of ram. however when we load up safari with both caches empty (on the same connection) mine hesitates considerably (like about 4- seconds) before loading the page up. is this cuz of the hardware difference or is my safari possibly messed up?

Tough to tell with just one application as your judge. Try and run one of the benchmark programs and see what you find. Or try and load Firefox and see how speed looks on both. Is his hard drive a 5400 RPM drive? That may be the difference. When testing one application, the ram differences in your machines will not be that noticeable (you both had a lot for one app).
