These may be really dumb questions to some, but here goes...

I personally find the Mac gamma standard to be way too bright and the PC standard to be too dark, although I have to work with photos and web-related stuff while trying to play nice with the 2.2 gamma (otherwise on a PC everything looks dark).

I used the expert mode in the calibration assistant and when all was said and finished, my target gamma was 2.05 - just about bulls eye in the middle. I also noticed that based on my input my display has a slight tint of blue compared to the "default" 1.8 and 2.2 gamma standards.

My questions to you guys: Have your own calibrations come out in the neighborhood of in between or do you have a preference for either the Mac or PC standard? Does 2.05 seem to be a good balance in your experiences?
