Hey there

I'm about to sell my powerbook over the internet and I was wondering what the best way of shipping it to the person is. I have the original box that it came in. Is it possible to find a box that will fit the powerbook box properly ( its a 12" model ), or should I just wrap the box in that brown shipping wrap paper?

i would find a box that is bigger than the latop box by 6 or more inches all around. then in the extra space put newspaper and other sorts of padding.

It would be a shame for you to take care of it all this time only for UPS to drop it or throw the box accorss the room.

also, pay for insurance when you ship it just in case.

well apple ships their BTO powerbooks in the original box and wrap it with brown paper. well its more like cardboard, but it is VERY thin cardboard. it just wont tear as easily as paper. if apple can ship a PB from china to the US with their original box, im sure using the original box would be fine. if you want added protection, do what osxisfun said.

Just go to a UPS Store or Kinkos and get a corrogated carton thats big enough to put the original Apple box into, then shove some newspaper in so the Apple carton can't move around in the carton.
