Hi all,

i've installed Tiger last week (update system) adn after that i've see that the activity monitor utility is died....

Whan i launch it, it's appear on the dock for 1 second and then it disappear.
I've not installed any utilities or program that can "toch" the activity monitor...

Someone have some ideas?

all it's ok!

i've open the application from terminal, and it give me te solution

/Applications/Utilities/Activity\ Monitor.app/Contents/MacOS/Activity\ Monitor; exit

2005-05-04 19:16:03.086 Activity Monitor[177] The tool is not setuid root - please repair the privileges
logout

Just repair the privileges

I saw your post, and am having the same problem. The question is, how does one fix those privileges?
(yes, this is probably a n00b question, but we all have to start somewhere...)

you can fix with disc utility
