just got a 12" pb from apple store. came with panther installed, but i'm using the tiger upgrade disk to erase and install a fresh copy of tiger.

the combo drive is really annoyingly loud, and it's not a constant hum either, but it sounds like it's shifting in there and skipping every second or so. does this sound normal to you guys? Tiger is still installing cause the progress bar is always progressing.

just wonder if anyone else has a loud combodrive.
