Well I know I can't say I know all the problems of ibook-only issues in panther, but I know one that has been bugging a lot of people. Where only on the ibook will the screen saver activation force the color profile to change to some random one when you come back to the computer. Therefore forcing one to click on system preferences > displays >color and the same color profile every time the screensaver comes on. I have averted this problem by just having the screensaver set to "never turn on" but I would appreciate having a screensaver because I don't put my hd to sleep when the ibook is open. Has this been fixed in tiger for anyone who bought it?

Also, this one isn't ibook-only (actually, i'm not sure) but the playing of a dvd in apple's dvd player is always very dark, forcing one to create a new color profile with much higher gamma so the dvd has normal color in the dvd player. It has been proven the problem is not with the DVD because every dvd played has this occur. and once you rip a dvd and play it in another media player like quicktime, the brightness level is perfect. Hows that in tiger?

Thanks.

I had the problem with the colour profiles in panther. I even started a thread on it.
Since I installed tiger I have had no problems what so ever, so I think everything is ok now.
