i just bought a new 12" powerbook (first-time mac buyer, PC convert) and am really, really happy with it. now i want to protect in from wear & tear. i saw the sticky thread at the top but it makes no mention of sumdex... i found a sleeve for $9.99 on buy.com just now...

looking for opinions

i believe my friend uses one (not exact same model) for his asus m5... the quality seemed subpar... i would personally recommend a marware sportfolio sleeve... they're a little more pricier, but they are far better in terms of build quality and make use of a zipper... your pb deserves more than a sumdex =)...

i bought a leftover sony vaio case (black neoprene) for seven bucks at a microcenter store bargain bin. i'm wary of products that state "fits most __-inch screen laptops", because they usually don't fit the 12-inch or 15-inch powerbooks. i found that out the hard way when i ordered a nice Booq bag for my tibook and ended up returning it; check out the dimensions, the numbers don't match up. the sony fits my 12" PB corner to corner with about 1/4" thickness to spare, i usually pack a magazine to make up the differrence. it fits my 12" iBook skin tight. i find it most annoying when my 'book rattles in its case.
