i'm in the same boat. i am going to wait until a few days after June 6 (WWDC) and if they don't release a new iBook then I am just going to buy it so I still get my extra $100 MIR with my educational discount.

Im also planning on buying an iBook. Im waiting still. I will wait untill WWDC but not longer (if they havent announced something by then).

I'd say wait, even if it sucks. But if you really need it now, buy it. If you can wait i'd suggest that you do so for some weeks.

However, i donät think there will be something really remarkable in the update. But probably small stuff like a better graphics card and possibliy one tiny notch in processor speed.

If they can do a major upgrade to the powerbooks then they will do a major update for the ibooks. In a best case scenario (not at all likely) the PB's get G5's and theibooks get 1.67 G4's. Since that won't happen it seems that a video card upgrade will be the only update. Hopefully it will be nice surprise like with the iMacs. Speaking of which, a RAM upgrade would be nice as well.
