Yeah I know that I have been bothering you guys, but I have read so many threads that I have decided on an ibook. First the shell is very stable and it is 550 dolalrs cheaper. That is without applecare and any type of rebates. With this added it would be even cheaper. I went to my bookstore on campus, but I chickened out on it actually. Knowingly that I was tempted to buy a 12 pb for a bigger hd, more ram and other lil features. Is there really a justufication for the 600 dollar differece... I heard that I can use final cut on it, which makes me very happy. What is ur experience with it on a ibook? A tech had a ti book running final cut, so I am ssuming it would be good. ALthough the screen is a lil bit better, I have a 17 inch lcd monitor. Plus I have a 200 gh external hd... Wat do u guys think also I have an 4g 20 gb ipod? IS there really a possibility of a new model coming up?

i'd hold off...new iBooks are, at most, only a month to month and a half away. i also am a firm believer that the gpu will improve in these upcoming models.

Likely apple will offer the back to school rebate for iBook and iPod shortly as well. That is a serious saving if you can hold your pennies for a month.
