When I stick in a DVD (any DVD, movie or recordable) my DVD player makes loud beeps. Sounds like a PC DOS speaker. While I play a movie or record a DVD it makes all sorts of beeping noises. Very annoying. When I was in my school lab the other day I was asked not to use it because the beeping was distracting other students.

Since no one responded, I'm guessing that's a no?

Should I take it in? I'm not sure if they'd replace it just because it's beeping.

It's my DVD player that's beeping, not my HDD. I did find articles on the infamous "beep" from HDDs, but this is definately from my DVD player.

By "DVD player", do you mean the DVD drive, or the DVD Player application?
