I have a rev A PB 12" that I want to keep for a while and upgrade.

I want to replace the internal 60GB 4200rpm drive with a 5400rpm 100GB internal drive.

I found this one that SHOULD work

http://store.yahoo.com/hd4less/to102bsusl9b.html

It has a 16MB buffer, it is ATA100 and 9.5mm which is compatible with the PB.

How much would it cost for someone to install this baby? There's no way in hell I could do it myself, I've seen the instructions online!

Edit: Another question, would there be a better place to buy internal hard drives for a lower price maybe? Maybe buying from Hard Drives 4 Less isn't such a smart idea

I'd check out www.pricewatch.com

Thanks olepigeon.

I found this -> http://www.c-source.com/ttechnote.as...991&src=PW

Good deal? Now I need to find out how much someone would charge to install it. What if I make friends with a computer enthusiast?

Ok, I'll wait a bit. 120 sounds juicy.

Wow. That's a nice hard drive. When I had my new HD installed, I called a couple of places and they range from $45 to $110. I had mine installed for $45 (without data transfer). Unfortunately, the HD was defective and I had to install a replacement. I did that on my own. It was a nerve racking experience that I would not want to repeat. In hindsight, I would have brought it to the shop to install the replacement.
