Hi,

I posted here earlier but got no responses. I bought a 1GB Corsair System Select PC2700 RAM stick for my 1.25ghz 15" Albook but it appears not to work; the system crashes, won't suspend, etc. Annoying, I paid extra for the System Select, and it should work fine as far as I can tell.

I really wish to know the following:

- Has anybody successfully (or unsuccessfully) installed Corsair RAM into your Powerbook?

- If so, how big was the stick, what speed, and was it System Select or Value Select?

- If not Corsair RAM, what have you installed (1GB sticks)?

I have had no problems with the corsair value select 512mb ram i bought for my 1.67 pb. I heard that the ram slot goes bad on powerbooks, I would swap them and maybe the system will recognize the 1 gig

i have a 1GB Corsair DDR400 stick and it works absolutely perfectly with my 12" 1.5 PB

I have heard other problems with the "system select" stuff in pbooks.. I run a 1gb "value select" DDR400 in the top slot on a 1.5 15" and its perfect..

I have tried both slots.

For those that replied - can you also specify what type (value select, or system select), and what speed?

Nobody else here with a 1GB "System Select" stick?
