i've forgotten how to do this, but i remember
it has to do with using a firewire cable...
i'm on a G5 with OSX 10.3

connect them with the fw cable then restart your ibook while holding down the T key.

Start up the iBook in Target disk mode before connecting them, right? Otherwise, turn off the iBook before connecting them.

Another option would be the use of a Firewire peer-to-peer IP connection and using File Sharing…
