iBook Logic Borad Repair Extension

This program seems to have ended March 18, 2005, or three yrs after purchase. I can't recall when I bought my iBook as the invoice is 10,000 miles from here in a safe that only I have access to.
It does fall within the S/N range: UV117XXXXXX to UV342XXXXXX
Tonight, the bottom 70% of the screen got lots of vertical lines and is now non-functional. I sincerely hope Apple will extend this program. As an Apple Developer, this is an important testing machine and to have the repair extension program end less than 2 months ago just is not good at all.
Anyone know if this is being extended? I'll be taking it to the local dealer tomorrow (Sunday is a normal weekday here)... this was supposed to go to Africa with me in 10 days, but it looks like I'll have to get a new one or make other arrangements.

The same exact thing just happened to my girlfriends ibook and she already had the motherboards replaced a couple of years ago. Not sure what to do.

It is well out of warranty, I think it is 4 years old. They would most likely chuckle at me.

I had two motherboard replacements, one in Japan, one in Germany. Just be insistant and they'll replace it.

I was 5 weeks past March 18, 2005 and Apple insisted they couldn't do anything for me. I talked to Apple Product Support as well as Apple Customer Relations.
CR has a lot of power, but the guy just didn't want to do anything. Talked to him for 45 minutes, then gave up.
It's a shame.

I just dropped my iBook off at the Tampa Apple Store for THE THIRD TIME to get my Logic Board replaced. Genius at Bar told me after five repairs they'll replace your computer.
Five?
Sheesh.
So anyways, seems the logic board program is still running, since my total cost was zero.
Anyone know of a program when I can exchange my G3 iBook and get something newer/better for a minimal cost? I'm willing to pay the difference, obviously, but three times in six months for the logic board is ridiculous.
Though I must confess, after two previous drop offs, I got my laptop back in like 3 days. Absolutely outstanding servuce.

Guess it is still covered, they sent the box replaced the MoBo and are sending it back. Hopefully this one will last. But I must applaud Apple for sticking by their product.
