My company is looking standardize on a apple notebooks for our sales reps. We need some sort of mobile internet solution eg GSM card, CDMA2k card etc.

The iBooks provide a considerable cost/value ration. The only problem is i've only seen pcmcia cards for these types of devices and the iBooks do not have pcmcia slots.

Does anyone know of a usb/firewire adapters for pcmcia cards? Anyone have any experience with using a bluetooth as connection via a phone?

Thoughts anyone?

We really don't want to buy windows machines.

Why not a direct connection with a USB->cellphone cable to use it as a modem?

Get all of your sales reps EDGE phones with Bluetooth, such as the Motorola V551. Make sure that their iBooks have built-in Bluetooth as well.

Right now, I use my iBook with a bluetooth adapter (it's too old to have gotten it built-in) with an EDGE capable (Nokia 6230) phone as my primary Internet connection.
