Hi,
I got a TiBook via eBay last week. It was delivered (as described) without hard disk, optical drive, airport and with two broken hinges.

The hinges are not a big problem, same for drives and airport.

I bought a new Samsug 60 GB hard drive and putted it in the TiBook. After that I copied my system (OS 9 and X) from my G3 to the iPod and booted the TiBook over Firewire. Everything went smooth, but Disk Utility did not find the newly installed hard drive. Remember, that I had to start via iPod, because there is no optical drive at the moment - not even the cable.

I resetted PRAM, PMU and everything else I was told, but the new hard drive is still not available.

May it be possible, that ATA devices are not recognized if installation is incomplete? Or is it possible, that the hard disk controller has failed? He hard drive does not even power up...

Help!

Thanks,
Maximilian
