I know to include lots of pictures, state the return policy, etc. My question is, besides what else do I need to worry about, if I purchased this PB in february, the warranty is still good. So, how do I transfer the warranty, do I just include the original receipt?

It looks like I should still be able to get 2100ish for my 1.67 15"superdrive, would you guys agree?

I need to pay for summer school, since they came up with a 2k bill that I have to pay without financial aid, BUT when I get next semesters financial aid, I am going to get a 12" and a 20" ACD.
I think it would suit me better.

sorry to hear you have to part with your PB...I understand the warranty follows the PB via the serial number, although having an original receipt is always handy for book keeping. I think you'll get around that price. I would start low and trust me it will ride out to what you need it to be.

just a suggestion - look @ the powerbook auctions that have already sold and closed. make sure you copy the format of the highest selling ones and include actual pictures of your powerbook, not stock photos.

and of course, no personal pics of yourself. don't want people's personal bias' and opinions to get involved. keep it proefssional..

I'm a big seller on eBay, and here are some pointers (and I'm sure I'm just repeating some of what the others have already mentioned):

PICTURES:
Take great pictures of your PowerBook, as well as accessories. Take maybe a picture of all that is included in the auction in one image, and then get detailed with the pictures taking close-up shots. People are big into details cosmetically when it comes to purchasing something that expensive.

LAYOUT:
Keep the layout clean and organized: nothing cheesy. A lot of people get turned off with seeing messy layouts (Like I do) and makes me not want to buy it from them. I think this is where professionalism comes in, I think.

ATTRACT:
Use some of eBay's recommeded addons, like galleries, bold/highlight. There's plenty other people out there selling what you sell so make yours standout. Spending an extra $5-$8 on extra add-ons will help you make some extra $.

PRODUCT DETAILS:
Get specific with product details and its performance. I would include personal opinions on them, as well as how it handles video editing, photo editing, etc.

As far as receipts, yes, include it in your auction, just so that they can use that to use their warranty. Just make a copy for yourself.

Hope that helps.

the warranty will be fine, and still valid. i sold my 12" powerbook to a friend of mine who lives in london. the powerbook was bought in the united states. she just bought apple care for it over in london, and they had no issues with the fact that she is not the original owner.

i agree on watching ebay for a while and getting a nice template to use for your auction.

oh yea.. start the bidding @ $1 and set it to no reserve..

This encourages bidding and no matter what, that powerbook will sell. You'll probably get a deadbeat bidder, but those are the breaks.

DO NOT USE BUY IT NOW!! I had someone else who was selling an ibook @ the same time as me, buy mine out and refuse to pay, so that thier ibook would get more bids.. f'd up. But you can avoid this.
