They have almost identical specs and are at least $300 less than the Apple Cinema Display? Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I use one with my 12" PB RevB and love it. When I'm working in the office, it's great to have all that desktop available- I bought the 12" for a small road laptop, but not for doing a lot of work on that small screen when I'm back in the office. Hence, the 20"

I actually share it via a KVM with my G5 thanks to the Dell's mutli-input capabilities... another cool feature for the Dell!
A couple MacPro's, a MacBook Pro, a PC, and an iPod.

I've used my 12" revB powerbook with a dell flat&wide screen (I guess 20" haven't checked it, it's big enough) monitor at work. Works lovely. I just wish I could look at OSX that big all day instead of XP.

I use it with my 12" RevC make sure you use DVI theres is a huge difference between DVI and VGA. The monitor can't be beat for the $380 that I paid for it.

So the specs say a resolution of 1024x768 with a 12" powerbook - I'm assuming that's the limit for the powerbook monitor right? A 12" PB with a 20" monitor sounds like a great idea - but I hate to think I won't be able to have a higher resolution with such a big monitor.

Actually running in clamshell mode my PB pushes my 20inch wide screen monitor at its 1680x1050 native resolution. Its a beautiful sight.

You can get the Dell 2005fpw for $397 and then less 2% with the following codes:
2005fpw 35% discount code: S0BDZ6HBTFDPSL
Add the stackable $90 off $750-$1000 code: 79VT3767HP833W
Pay with a Dell Preferred Acct you get an extra 2% off code:486RR4G6C0ZKSV
To get the $90 off code you'll have to add $1 because the original price of the 2005fpw is $749, just buy some cheap printer paper or something.
You wind up getting the 20" Dell 2005fpw for $390!

No unfortunately that logo is part of the bezel. But I'll live with the Dell logo for DVI/VGA/S-Video/Composite/Picture in picture/Portrait mode and a 3 year warranty for $300 less then the 20" ACD. I love the looks of the ACD's but my wallet does not.

I use one with a PBG4 Al 15" 1.5Ghz. It's great. DVI, VGA, S-video, Composite video, USB ports. You can hook it up directly to a DVD player and 2 computers at the same time.

It rotates using Tiger perfectly. Has as good or better image quality than Apple's monitor.

True, it's black. But not bad looking. Only drawback is having given money to that ass, Michael Dell.

Sorry I'm and idiot. Heres a link to a description on what coupons are used to get the Dell 2005FPW for less then $400

http://slickdeals.net/#p6076

Unfortunately the deal is dead for today. But be on the lookout they have those deals for under $400 once a month or so.

This belongs in the Peripherals forum, but there's already a huge thread on this display there. No need to repeat it all.
