When booting my computer, instead of getting a nice solid boot, my computer screen flickered around and actually created a white noise sound for about 5 seconds. During this time the green light came on. Then the screen and green light shut off. Then nothing.

I've tried rebooting several times and it's the same problem over and over again. I've tried it with just the battery, then just the ac power, same problem. AND, it causes severe (but steady) interference with my TV when it does it's little flashy white noise thing.

HELP!

Thanks,
Aaron

I had that problem myself, couldn't quite figure out what it was, but then the next day it solved itself. It works perfectly but now when I start closing the lid the backlight turns itself off and to turn it on again I have to close the lid completely to put the computer to sleep, and then when reopening the backlight is back.

I can't say if it's an inverter board problem (the thin and long board in the middle of the hinges) or a cable problem (either the one that goes from the inverter to the backlight, that goes through the hinge on the right, or the data flat cable.)
