Hello!

I've just bourght an old clampshell iBook, and I thought of using it with my iPod as some kind of music server.

The problem is that the iBook dosent have firewire, so I cant relly connect the iPod. Are the any other posseble ways to use the iBook with my iPod?

You can use a USB cable (some new ipods only come with usb now) however that will be painfully slow as the clamshell only has USB 1 onboard. I don't think it has a card slot where you can add a firewire/usb2 card either.
