These are the specs from Aspyr:
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.3.8 or later
CPU Processor: PowerPC G4/G5
CPU Speed: 1.2GHz or faster
Memory: 256 MB or higher
Hard Disk Space: 3GB free disk space
Video Card (ATI): Radeon 9000 or better
Video Card (NVidia): GeForce FX5200 or better
Video Memory (VRam): 32 MB or higher
Media Required: DVD Drive

Does the iBook graphics card measure up to that? I know it's got 32MB VRAM but is is "Video Card (ATI): Radeon 9000 or better / Video Card (NVidia): GeForce FX5200 or better"?

on your ibook, go to the apple menu -> about this mac. In the about this mac window, click on "more info". This will take you to detailed info about your Mac's hardware and Software.

Should be able to see if your iBook's specs meet the minimum requiements right there.

hope that helps.
MacBook Pro | 2.16 ghz core2duo | 2gb ram | superdrive | airport extreme
iBook G4 | 1.2ghz | 768mb ram | combodrive | airport extreme
iPhone 3GS | 32 GB | Jailbreak, or no Jailbreak

Thanks, but unfortunately I don't have that iBook - it's my sister's, and she loves the Sims.

The iBook has an ATI 9200 video card.

It will run but you might need to turn the graphic detail levels down to get smooth game play (purely going on my experiences with Sims2 on PCs).
MBP 2.16ghz 15"
iMac G5 1.6Ghz 17"
Powermac 7200/120
