Fellas,

I just purchased a wrist rug and it seems that it would cause some sort of latch problem in the long run as there's excessive strain on the latch area due to the thcikness of the rug? Or am I just being paranoid here? Anyone with experiences on the wrist rug? care to tell me the possible problems that may arise from prolonged usage? Like screen marks, latch problems, etc.

Thanks so much for your help!

how thick is the wrist rug? is it removable? or do you attach it with some kind of adhesive?

Doubt it, there's a fair bit of gap between the top and the bottom, if anything it might make your laptop "sturdier" when closed because the latch will be snugger.

You are correct.
I have the Wrist Rug on and it stays on just right.
My iskin.com keyboard protector gets caught on it more than the wrist rug.
When i say caught, i mean ... leave a mark on the screen..

I realised that I have to press the cover down a little more after the initial click (to enable sleep mode) to enable the latch to catch on and lock the top.

I bought the 3rd party japanese wrist rug. Seems to be 75% thicker than what you'd purchase over the us website.

Ericssonboi, do you leave both the wrist rugs and the iskin in at the same time when you close the thing?

Asod, the wrist rug has a very very very mild adhesive to stick to the powerbook.

Oh, i must mention that i snipped off about 3/4 inch from both left and right side so I can prevent the buffs on my screen by placing a sheet of A4 paper over the wrist rug (the original size was slightly too long)
