I am considering upgrading from my current 15" TiBook (867 Mhz) to a new 1.5 Mhz Powerbook. How much stronger/better, etc. is the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 processor compared with what I currently have in my TiBook? (I have whatever was standard at that time.) The dashboard "ripple effect" will not work on my current PB, nor will the burn or flash transitions in Keynote. Will all of those be available on the new 1.5 Mhz PB? Thanks

Are you talking about a 12? The new 15s and 17s are at 1.67mhz.

The 15" Combo Drive is 1.5 Mhz.

OOPS! Yes, I meant 1.5 Ghz. . . So anyway, how much of an improvement (in terms of the graphics processor) can I expect with the new PB?

I don't know about Keynote, but the Dashboard ripple effect works on my 12" Powerbook (at 1.5GHa) with nVidia GeForce FX Go5200 graphics chipset.
