I am typing this in a different machine.

For some reason my iBook has stopped letting me type the £ sign and is instead producing a #. Have I pressed something by accident? I noticed this after a installing a Quicktime update but surely that can't having anything to do with this?

Anyone any ideas how I can fix this?

Cheers,

AA

Has your keyboard setting changed? What about your localization? At the top-right of the screen, do you see the Union Jack or the good old Stars and Stripes? Or something else? That's what it looks like to me; your localization or keyboard setup has changed. I'd just change it back through Preferences...

option 3 still creates a £ even in US keyboard setup.
