As a newbie to macs I have a question that might be something different to you all: in magazines where you can see the screen you can see a little flag on the top part of the screen, probably depending on the version you have! Got an ibook a little bit ago, but mine doesn't have it. I know it's not something major but it looks cool, so I was wondering if it's something the ibook doesn't have and/or how to get it.

I am still using Panther, but a bit of poking around ahould get you where you need to be.

It relates to your input menu.

If you go into system prefs and look for the International preference pane, you should find an option to show the input menu in the the menu bar.

As I said this is in Panther, and I believe Sys Prefs took a bit of an overhaul in Tiger, but if play around a bit you should find it.
