I have a powerbook pismo that I need to repair and it looks like it takes an allen wrench to open it. Could anyone tell me exactly what tool you need to open it?

It's called Torx. Go to Sears and grab a Torx screwdriver of the appropriate size (likely either a Torx T8 or Torx T10).
