Okay, so I got stupid with money for a bit, and need to sell my 1.67 GHZ Pbook to pay off as much of the CC as possible BUT I still NEED a computer. So, either I get a 12in pbook superdrive or GASP, a PC for a good amount cheaper. I love my pbook, it is my one possession that I would grab if my house was burning down But I was stupid and by selling it and getting a different comp, this will at least get another 500$ payed off my huge CC bill.

Any thoughts on this? (besides don't be stupid with money )

yup....till the 25th, but only on new computers (no refurbs or sale items) and you can't get the CD-ROM student offering of the iBook, but i don't see why one would buy that one anyway. don't bother with the 14" unless you absolutely need DVD burning on the road, i'd just get the 12" and use the money i save to up the RAM and HD, maybe BT. by the way, going with an iBook should save you more than $500 too...hide those cc's in a safe place till ya get a lil more control over yourself .

I may still go for the 12" superdrive pbook. Is the 12" pbook screen still a lot better than the ibook? I know the 15" pbook is much better than the 14ibook I had to get rid of to get my pbook.

nope...they're identical in crappiness. other than gpu...i think the iBook is a superior machine in that the battery life and airport range are waaaaayyyyy better than the 12" pb, and i'd gladly give up a small amout of fsb and a few mhz for those things. the 12" pb is a pretty dandy computer though...why not hold on till the next iBooks are introduced... they have to be updated in the next month or two...unless apple doesnt release another line of iBooks till new PB's appear.
