This fall at my school Powerbooks are required for everyone in my major.
I had one since October 2003 (G4 1.25ghz) but sold it in May to someone who was just grateful to pay less for a used one.

I need to order a new one before August 15 to have it for school. I was holding out, hoping something new would come out, but after the Intel announcement, i'm not so sure. (offhandedly, yuck, Mac Intel?)

Anyway, antsy as I am, I keep looking at the Apple website deciding when to buy one, and I need some opinions of the public. Do you think anything new will come out between now and August? Any reasons to go ahead and order as opposed to waiting?

Here are my personal pros and cons:

Pros thus far:
I miss a computer
Bluetooth phone, which can hopefully get me some internets
$100 off coupon if I order before June 23
$200 off if I get AppleCare (who knows when that ends)

Cons:
Internet may or may not work
No graphics software at the time being (Anyone willing to help me with this, let me know)
Left in an apartment most of the day (security risk, as opposed to locked pretty secure dorm room)
What if they come out with a new one?!

The biggest update they can do is upgrade the CPU to PPC7448 and the video card (and a dual layer Superdrive). So you might get a slightly faster computer (of course noone knows when this will happen). I personnaly would wait if I could. They might lower the prices as well which are much too high compared PC laptops...
